Memory Eternal, A Teaching Unit on Bereavement

Honest explanations for children on the nature of death are only easier to give with the Traditions of the Orthodox Church, but this does not mean they are easier conversations to have.

Mrs. Edna King, an FLM contributor co-created this module for a third grade Sunday School class at St. John the Wonderworker (OCA, Atlanta GA), after the parish experienced a series of personal losses. We are posting the seven-week teaching unit, complete with scripture, activity ideas, and discussion questions to steer conversation on this uncomfortable, but important topic.
