Even if we fall a hundred times a day, it does not matter; we must get up and go on walking toward God without looking back.
+ Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica
Sometimes we strike out. We might feel like tossing the bat and saying some spicy words, but sooner or later, we’ll pick ourselves us and face the pitcher again. Sometimes that experience even teaches us how to get a better hit next time.
In life, most of us strike out by falling into little repetitive sins. Sins are not just the big no no’s, they are every time we fail to meet the mark. That’s all day. We are all imperfect. Elder Thaddeus lets us know we may fall over and over again, but it’s OK, the important thing is to keep facing Christ and keep moving toward Him without getting bogged down in regrets.
Lord, being with You is my heart’s desire. Help to me to get up when I fall–even if I fall 100 times a day.
